Funnily enough I had to go to the pharmacy in my local Sainsbury's on bank holiday Monday. I checked the website to make sure it was open and it said it was open until 11pm, despite the store being open until 7pm. When I got there (before the store had closed), there was a handwritten opening times sign at the pharmacy stating that they closed at 7pm with the store. Wonder if they missed the memo?

Yep. Just had new motorway signage delivered yesterday. All in the new font.

Just saw those (sans product categories) hanging in my local Tesco two nights ago. They've been mounted perpendicular to the old signs, so you can see them as you walk along the back wall or the tills.

I think they look rather nice.

The genuinely horrendous Ruth Jones/Ben Miller ads appear to have thankfully been axed for some "food love stories" that are far more bearable.

Does anyone have some of the 80s red & white typewriter aisle signage in storage somewhere? Memories of shopping when I was a kid!

I'd be very surprised if this hasn't been mentioned before, but I've never seen this Tesco Metro in Edmonton which looked like THIS until it closed in three years ago.

There's a nice logo scar on the most recent street view image

Reminds me of this former Odeon in Ipswich - it must have been closed for at least ten, perhaps nearly 15 years now, yet the scar of the old logo on the building is clear enough to even be able to make out what it says! Additionally, the blue boards in that streetview shot also feature the remnants of the last film titles the cinema showed before it closed.

Fun fact, the scar of the logo seen in that streetview isn't even the last logo the building had on it:

The still-current logo in the above picture can be clearly seen to be hiding the remains of the previous one!

the coupons in my online Clubcard account are in the new font too, though the watermark appears to still be the old one:

Are there any Tesco stores still using the same logo as these ones -
Hunting for nostalgia. Even older stores with old signage. Or they are probably all gone now.

p.s. I been to the above store in Tottenham. It closed last year or so. It was so nostalgic walking in to it. It had those old Red Benches!

The old old shop in Bootle New Strand had the pre-blue lines logo until they relocated to what was Somerfields, before closing a couple of years ago. The modern sign in the window told you it had been downgraded to a Tesco Metro.
