In new news, Better together has a new slogan, " No thanks" You would have thought the slogan would have been "Naa"

Okay, some new polls then. The YouGov one is being teased on Twitter, I expect the full tables to follow.
Published Sat 9th Aug, undertaken 6th-7th Aug:
Survation - Yes 37%, No 50%, Don't know 13%. Sample: 1,010.
Excluding Don't knows - Yes 43%, No 57%.
Commissioned by Scottish Daily Mail. More info.
Published Mon 11th Aug, undertaken 4th-7th Aug:
YouGov - Yes 35%, No 55%, Don't know 9%, Not voting 2%. Sample 1,142.
Excluding Don't knows - Yes 39%, No 61%.
Commissioned by The Scottish Sun. More info.
EDIT: Updated to include full details of YouGov. This pollster has tended to rank a yes vote consistently lower than Survation or Panelbase, but hasn't registered a move compared to it's last survey despite changing weightings slightly.

Salmond has basically buried any chance of victory.
Scotland will use the pound regardless of any union or economic impact
The scots will rule the known universe...
...unlimited rice pudding for all
etc. etc.
It's just making him look like a fantasist.

Now I've started posting these polls, I've decided I should see the task through. So, a bleeding obvious result here if you ask me, but a slightly different take on things from Survation.

Survation: Women only poll, Sample 1000.
Yes 34%, No 50%, Don't know 16%.
Excluding Don't knows - Yes 40%, No 60%.

Well, women dislike/distrust Salmond more than men, surveys tend to show. However, as the polls haven't been that great for Yes recently anyway, this poll didn't show much of a change. However, it still let the Record run a front page using the words women picked to describe him in the survey, and also suggest Nicola Sturgeon is gunning for his job... so might've sold a few papers.Alexia wrote:What was the fecking point of that?
