Sorry for the double post, but Live at five with Jeremy seems to be very upset at Konnie Huq leaving The Xtra Factor. I'm not sure why, as it seems the majority agree she wasn't particularly suited to hosting that type of show.

Why is Carrie off at the moment?
Isn't this the perfect example of members straying way too far into the private lives of presenters?

Wondering why a presenter is off is weird enough, but to post it just goes beyond the pale. This is the kind of thing that needs to be nipped in the bud quicksmart.

I RTPd it.

Newsroom wrote:If you're trying to jump on the band wagon of people being obsessed over rotas, DO ONE - my comment was entirely valid! I'm sure the tweeter who tweeted Simon McCoy's question was as valid - ie - where is Carrie Gracie?

She's doing Hardtalk for anyone interested.
He doesn't know the difference between a question and a comment - nor does he know the correct usage of "your/you're". I find it hard to imagine he can understand the nature of the forum.

Never mind the hypocrisy calling the complaining members "obsessed" about rotas.

In truth I don't expect much to change. I think there's too many of them who have been posting whatever the hell they like for too long. Might as well let them speculate over where the female presenters are in their monthly cycle, guess at who is gay, and post pictures of the raked-though rubbish from their bins.

To begin to moderate now would probably be futile.

Hey ho.

Is that a deliberate windup?

This is a THREAD about PRESENTERS and ROTAS... if you want to moan, groan, b@tch about people, go somewhere else. It's seriously boring..
The final three words are the best part of this comment.

In case it gets deleted, I'll preserve my savagely bitchy reply to him (for posterity only) here:

Don't know if this has escaped your notice (and I can't blame you if it has) but Bail's a moderator, apparently. Big clue, the word Moderator in big, bold letters under his name. If you're not able to read words longer than three syllables I apologise. Therefore, in his official capacity as one of TVF's guardians, he's the one who decides what can and cannot be said on this forum. If he asks you to desist, you desist.

Also, if you insist on discussing the X Fuctor a full 6 months before it begins poisoning our youth and doing massive turds on the already fragile music industry in the process, please bog off to Digital Spy and comingle with your fellow obsessive brethren, and leave us alone.

I appreciate the support, and I'll leave it there, but please don't throw topics off course in doing so. If we are to weed out the 'undesirables' as it were I need you all to be on best form so no-one is accused of hypocrisy
