Well the bgcolors are the same so it's clearly something in the way either firefox or IE renders the image - probably to do with colour profiles. I may be making an ASS out of U and ME by ASSUME-ing here but I have got the impression that Asa uses IE8.

you're right cdd, it was a colour profile issue. probably the one on my PC being shite. Either way I appear to have it correct now. yay.
