I felt mortally offended reading your insulting diatribe last night. 'How can 20 million wankers be wrong?' I thought to myself. Then, about 15 minutes ago, I remembered that's exactly how I feel about football fans. Although of course, like the X Factor and other popular soap operas, football is socially cohesive so I shouldn't hold it against them, even if it is a pointless load of crap.

The X-Factor / BGT is great television. Taken too seriously? Yes. Treated as though it were important in any way? Yes. Polluting the music industry with nonsense? Yes.

But if it were stripped away, the show would still be the entertaining, often excruciating bit of fluff that it is.
Ronnie is victorious, vivacious in victory like a venomous dog. Vile Republicans cease living while the religious retort with rueful rhetoric. These rank thugs resort to violence and swear revenge.

But Ronnie can punch through steel so they lose anyway.

I note he was asked which channel got closed to keep Parliament on air, but chose to answer a completely different question instead.

Is he Tumbly Wumbly in disgiuse?

Let's remember that BBC Parliament wasn't at the beginning a BBC PSB channel. It was a cable channel called The Parliamentary Channel; somehow the BBC got hold of it and it became a PSB channel. It could quite easily go back to being a commercial channel, but how it was funded beforehand I can't remember.

The BBC got hold of it as the cable companies who had funded it gave up on their unprofitable little scab of a channel and the BBC, as state broadcaster, was lumped with it by default.

That argument is so flawed it's unbelievable. Lots of people mix up "your" with "you're" but that doesn't make it right.
