'Mike TV - Radio You Can See', is a new YouTube channel by Mike Bermingham.
It's essentially a new idea for a radio/video show.
Each week, a new playlist of classic songs with VJ links will be posted covering various themes across popular music.
This week I go back in time with 10 Motown 60's Classics.
Note: Using the 'play all' feature avoids manually having to play each clip.
Your feedback/playlist ideas are welcome and thanks for your support.

"Mike Bermingham". Is Beep something to do with this?
I'm sorry for generating hostility amongst some of you - that was not my intention.
Just to clear up one or two matters - my surname is indeed Bermingham.
I began broadcasting back in 1983 and am still on radio to this day.
So, to be called a 'bedroom radio idiot' is unfortunate. But, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I feel the future of radio is uncertain because of technological developments like smart phones. As we know one can download an app and listen to streaming radio from Torquay to Texas.A situation that creates more choice but further fragments the existing market.
Therefore, the location you broadcast from, may become less important than the service you provide (except for community based stations).
That being said, social media may well play a huge role in radio heading forward in time.
This was the point of why I decided to try combining the appeal of Youtube with music video's and straightforward links to give a background to the chosen songs.
It's an adaptive strategy to still do what I love to do albeit in a different form.

No, I assure you I am not, as TG points out, I would never spell it wrongly!Jamesypoo wrote:"Mike Bermingham". Is Beep something to do with this?
Although, when I saw this post yesterday first thing that went through my head was "How long until someone tries to joke it's me behind this"

I go back in time with 10 Motown 80's Classics.
The 80's was the last great decade for the Detroit label. Established acts such as Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson and Stevie Wonder still proved they had chart breaking power with newer stars like Debarge and Rockwell emerging briefly.
and...who can forget Lionel Richie who had us singing 'All Night Long'!
Note: Using the 'play all' feature avoids manually having to play each clip.
