Of course, now that they've changed to the new McD On Ald's and 'You're Gonna Need Two Hands, Grandma' style packaging, I assume we'll have to wait years before they change the straws to the current style, at which point new packaging will be introduced and they will be out of date again.
Presumably there will be a new design with the paper straws.

The straw pictured isnt the one I remember though. Maybe it was different in the UK.

This is the one I remember:

They didn't give them to you with your meal, you had to take them out of a round plastic container.

Oh aye, you're right, and that is clearly what's pictured.

There's still a few KFCs with the same thing. God knows how filthy the spinny cog at the bottom must get.

I keep getting the Apple Pie or Sundae prize.

Claiming the prizes are a lot easier on the self service terminals.

The sugar tax doesn't appear to have made its way to this vending machine in Bognor - but then again, some of the Coca Cola branding appears to be some 20 years old, so perhaps it'll get there eventually.

My local cafe hasn't raised prices for his full sugar soft drinks at all.

I've noticed as well that multibuy discounts on full sugar coke seem to have returned over the past week or so in Tesco and Asda at least, after they vanished when the tax first came in.

We haven't rose prices on our trains either. Full sugar Coke, diet coke and the halfway house lighter Sprite are all still £2

I believe a vegetablist option is provided when you enter the code on the touch screen terminal (I was offered one with the McNuggets one I claimed).
