Interesting addition to the Opera browser, free built-in VPN, currently available in the newest developer version.

Isn't that what the "Opera Turbo" option is at the moment, where your pages come via their servers? Useful to get round some geo-blocks.

It's a separate VPN to Opera Turbo. You can switch between Canada, Germany and the US.

Currently using Opera. Very pleasing layout, compact and sharp tabs, allows me to do my bookmark-bar-icon thingy, no needless curves like Firefox, built in ad-blocker, and the VPN works lovely (of course I get international versions of things like BBC Online, but it's so easily toggle-able it's not a problem.)

However I keep getting logged out of Facebook, TweetDeck, Metropol etc. despite checking all the "keep me logged in" boxes. ALso the lack of a blank "new page" option (you have to have the SpeedDial page) is a little irritating, but not The End Of Life As We Know It.

Have you been using the newest cutting-edge version of Firefox, Firefox Quantum? They've thankfully ditched the curved tabs that I also hated and I assume were introduced to mimic Chrome. They appear to have realised that people who use Firefox use it because it isn't Chrome, and Quantum has gone back to straight edged tabs. Oh, and it's also a lot faster or something…

I've also been using Opera for the VPN but I have never, ever been able to get into using Safari, Chrome, or Opera as my daily browser, I always go back to Firefox. It's not even that I use that many add-ons that are Firefox only, it's all the little things.

I've tried Firefox Quantum, yes it's faster than Chrome, but considering it's in Beta until November 15th, I've found that it won't close some tabs occasionally or will freeze using Windows 7.

I'm sure Mozilla will iron out the tab bug at least during launch, but it's still not enough for me to ditch the bloatware that is Chrome. Google have me hook, line and sinker thanks to the seamless integration with other Google services, as well as easily remembering passwords and card details.

Firefox just eats memory and causes the fan on my Macbook to fire up. A fan which never fires up except when rendering video.

Safari is incredibly fast but has a horrible tab interface and nasty back animation so I have stuck with Chrome. I used to use Chrome for home and Firefox for work, but it reached the point where FF was just so bloody slow so I now use two user profiles to separate my stuff.

i'm on the developer build of Firefox and it's been great for me - significantly more responsive.

I've customised the UI to remove the centred addressbar (which i couldn't get used to), everything else seems better.
