Stuck on a quiz answer: 12 M on a C J...
(Works like this: 1760 Y in a M = 1760 yards in a mile)

Any idea's?

That's the trap the question-writer has set - if you look closely, it says "on", not "in".

And you're supposed to go wandering off in the direction of the obvious, twelve months on a calendar something, but, of course, the 'J' won't work.
