CHANGE OF NAME - LLOYDS TSB BANK PLC TO LLOYDS BANK PLC
Lloyds Banking Group announces that the name of its principal subsidiary, "Lloyds TSB Bank plc", has changed to "Lloyds Bank plc" with effect from 23 September 2013, the date of this announcement. This follows the launch of TSB Bank (Project Verde) on 9 September 2013, ahead of its divestment as required by a ruling by the European Commission in 2009.
The TSB & Lloyds Bank relaunch news and information board
Interesting that the Lloyds TSB website redirects to Lloyds rather than showing a holding page linking to both.Philip wrote:And just like that, a new website has launched. http://www.lloydsbank.com/DVB Cornwall wrote:Stock Exchange Announcement

https://www.introducinglloydsbank.com/ still exists and probably will for years to come until someone finally realises they're still paying for itm-in-m wrote:Interesting that the Lloyds TSB website redirects to Lloyds rather than showing a holding page linking to both.Philip wrote:And just like that, a new website has launched. http://www.lloydsbank.com/DVB Cornwall wrote:Stock Exchange Announcement

C&G's website appears to continue to exist, with information for existing customers only.
It's a bit vague about where accounts have gone - for example, "Some C&G savings accounts are now with TSB", but also "If you have a C&G mortgage and are moving home Lloyds Bank will talk to you about a new mortgage".

I was in Hadleigh, Suffolk (7 miles from Ipswich) and their Lloyds TSB branch is now a TSB.
That's strange. All C&G branches became TSB so I would've expected all C&G accounts to also become TSB accounts.thegeek wrote:C&G's website appears to continue to exist, with information for existing customers only.

That's not possible, as C&G no longer exists. It seems the whole thing was copy/pasted from Lloyds version of the page, with the bank name swapped....some have remained with C&G
"C&G Mortgages" was effectively a brand for Lloyds Bank mortgages in the same way Woolwich is a brand for Barclays Mortgages. Therefore they stay with Lloyds Bank.JAS84 wrote:That's strange. C&G Savings is a separate division and I believe that has transferred to TSB along with the branches.
Popped past the LTSB that had it's signage removed in the middle of the night the other week for no reason and they've obviously now transitioned to Lloyds.
I thought they'd missed something a few weeks back when they mentioned LTSB on their car park sign but it would appear that Lloyds TSB was just a sticker or something on the sign, as it now reads 'Lloyds Bank' instead. The thing above the cashpoint with information about accepted cards which used to mention how it was a Cashpoint is very plain though - I didn't look properly but it seemed to just be plain white with a few logos dotted on.
Meanwhile in town, the Cornhill North branch has revealed some rotting old woodwork behind the new logo board.
Realistically there wasn't much they could do to this branch to make it look modern and nice (which is something the Barlcays around the corner did quite well a few years ago, but it's a more open plan space from the looks of it) - worth noting that the 'Lloyds Bank' gold lettering above the door has been there since the last time it was Lloyds, pre LTSB.
Meanwhile the new TSB made from the C&G looks pretty terrible - patterned grey carpet straight from the mid-90s, old bulky CRT-style monitors for the computers to run on etc, which doesn't exactly look impressive to anyone looking in on one of the UK's biggest banks! In short, it doesn't look good at all and very grey...
