Just spoken to someone who's on holiday with Thomas Cook. Looks like they have been prepared for the worst. Also likely that the company will collapse and that the board meeting is just a formality.
Anyway we'll know at around 0700 tomorrow.

I've been told that planes have taken off tonight in preparation to get Thomas Cook passengers home tomorrow if required.

And just after 2am, Thomas Cook went into administration. Ironically, TC's social media jockeys were still working until midnight reassuring customers that it'd be business as usual tomorrow.

When I think of Thomas Cook, I still think of the red boxed logo. Here's some history:

The reality of the Thomas Cook repatriation was all too apparent for friends who returned late last night. They were flown by Malaysian Airlines on a plane designed for long-haul flights, so much that they were allowed to go on the second floor after take-off.

The flight then went to Manchester rather than Gatwick and were transported by coach.

I always think of the "GMTV" logo personally!

Yeah, whenever I hear Thomas Cook I'm always reminded of GMTV2:

I'd be fascinated to know how many sales Thomas Cook made in its final few days (travel money aside). Surely it was close to zero?

It was reported that one couple paid the balance of their holiday of £2,700 just before the business closed on the Friday afternoon... in cash!
