In May, WHSmith Croydon were still selling bags of Mini Eggs for £1 after Poundland reduced them to 50p to shift the stock.

As long as in date there is no obligation to reduce them.

While true, I'd bet those best before dates are before next Easter. They need that stock gone to make way for Christmas lines anyway.

John Lewis / Waitrose are wobbling.

Although of the five stores that are closing four are the 'Little Waitrose' convenience sub-brand.

I'm surprised Camden is closing, there's an affluent customer base in that part of North London. However, I suspect Aldi will perform a lot better on that site.

Looks like Bristol's 'Poundworld Plus' at The Galleries Shopping Centre will be surviving a bit longer too. It only had a refit and rebrand from Bargain Buys last year too. Can't see Poundland taking it as they already have the ex-99p stores unit on another floor (there are still a couple of signs around in the galleries advertising 99p stores too).

Interestingly, their website is still completely as it was pre-administration with nothing at all to say they are even in adminstration. The jobs pages are still listings vacancies and taking applications. Usually the website is one of the first things to go in an administration, perhaps they cut the knife a bit too quickly at head office and there is no one left to update it?

Head office staff were all let go pretty quick after the administration, alas why the website hasn't been updated, nor the socials.

Surely they could just kill the website by deleting all content and just having the logo with the message about administrators being appointed?

It's quite possible that the people who had the details for the hosting have gone, so getting to the point where you delete everything would be quite tricky in and of itself.
