I suspect so, my Asda Supermarket is an ex Netto as well.

That Street View rewind thing is quite useful sometimes:

Is that Flint?
33 points to the man in the pink Levis, yes that is indeed Fflint.
Ha ha I worked for a few weeks in peacocks there so I thought it looked familiar.

That doesn't explain the trousers ....

Well bugger me Google Time Travel Mode; I did think it was rather a diddy shack for an ASDA store, but thought little more about it given that I was very keen to photograph the 2000s logo Argos Extra branch in the same retail park.

I have never had any dealings with Netto, other than there being one near my student digs at Uni, and it being mentioned in Comedy Dave's "Ballard of Tesco". Were they some discount faux supermarket akin to Aldi/Lidl?

Only worse.

Peter Kay does a whole routine about working there in one of his earlier standup shows - either Top of t' Tower or Bolton Albert Halls.

ASDA also have an infinitely better frozen vegetarian section, better pop selection, worse clothing selection, better own-brand low fat yoghurt selection and my local one also has a McDonald's in it.
I'd go as far as saying Asda have a better food section. Fresh fruit and veg from Sainsbury's seems to be largely tasteless and you're lucky to find things before they start to go soft/mouldy.
Sainsbury's pies - appalling and tasteless. The taste the difference pizzas used to be stand-out, but then for no obvious reason they reduced the range down to bare-bones so your only option is the disappointing veggie pizza if you were hoping to pick up a late pizza on the way home.

Asda's fresh fruit and veg on the other hand (in my experience in a reasonably local large superstore and very local tiny superstore) seems to be always fresh, always tasty and always good value. The Extra Special brand has also taken up the slack where Sainsbury's has slipped.

If this merger does go ahead, I hope it's not at the expense of Asda's product/supply lines!

How many Asdas have a McDonald's in them? The only one I've ever seen is the one next to the trafford centre.

Interesting* to see Tu clothing being touted with full Argos branding on the Argos home page. A bit like the Argos Additions era that I still miss to this day. That catalogue was fucking awesome.
