I think Chie's remark about multivitamin profit margins was slightly tongue in cheek.

I like to think I know what's going on but no, evidently not.

I could say where he's from, but I don't want to get in trouble again ;)

Mucho impressed with the ASDA supermarket where Netto Scunthorpe was. Really good medium-sized shop.

Even had Golden Grahams!

I've got to say I agree. I was sceptical of how the Netto stores would possibly fit in Asda's store portfolio, but they are really *really* good little shops.

My local Netto became a Morrisons instead, because there was already an Asda not far away (Asda were forced to sell four Netto stores in Hull on because they already had four supermarkets here - so Morrisons bought two, and some outfit I can't remember the name of bought the others).

Is it quite a small Morrisons then?

It suffers from the bakery being literally inside the front door.

Ah ha, there is an Asda thread here!

I've done a blog on Asda, it may be a bit retail heavy but it looks at the chain and their poor availability along with why they insist on clogging up each store with loads of Hershey's chocolate.
