iPhone Apps

Seeing as everybody's posting apps on the 'whyPhone' thread, I thought why not have an thread devoted to iPhone Apps.

Recommend good ones, inform what ones to keep away from.

Anyways, I start with Shazam and Wattpad.

Shazam: More for the musicy type and for finding out what that song you've been listening too is.
Wattpad: For the book-ish person who likes to read on the go, includes most modern books and everything is free, however a few tweaks to be made. Note: For finding new books on Wattpad (Harry Potter e.t.c) you'll be better off googling the name of the book and adding 'on Wattpad' at the end

I've been using Shazam for over 4 years - it's not unique to the iPhone. Simply dial 2580 from your phone, done.

They charge 50p I think, that includes the text to tell you what the song was.

How much is the equivalent data / webusage cost on the iPhone?

The existing versions will remain free (for how long?), so you might want to rush and get it!

Anyway, ummm... *tries to ignore embarassingly large quantity of frivolous games etc*... Skype, London tube/bus map, tomtom, Shazam of course... there aren't actaully that many USEFUL apps to download.

You do tend to pick up a load of strange games.

Does anyone else orgaise the pages into groups or is just my OCD when it comes to that sort of thing.

My Phone:
Facebook
Navigon (GPS)
Stanza
Wikipanion
imobsters
my o2Grindr
Flashlight (jalebroken - alot brighter than the ones on the app store)
units
Yell
Memory Info (great for closing processes - is on the app store)
Toti TV+ (better than the sky app and will allow you to record things on your Sky + box)
Rock your phone app (for jalebroken aps)
InteliScreen - Shows my diary in the unlock screen (worth every penny - Jailbroken phones)
and Winterbord - allows you to theme your spinbroard.

Sky News
TV Plus - like Sky+, but easier to use IMO.
WunderRadio
Last.fm
Dictionary.com
Qype Radar - Recommended places of interest / places to eat nearby
Sudoku
Six Pack App - useful for checking you're doing your gym exercises right.
Ocado
Skype
Shazam - yes it's totally free, and also gives you a link to a YouTube video of the songs you tag.

When looking for a app to read books on, I looked at Stanza, but ended up with Wattpad, because all is free and you can get every book on it! The in app search is not very good, but if you search for the book on Google, you get a code and you paste it into the search bar, and it'll be the only result to save. Also, there is a version for normal mobiles which you can download.
