Yes, it's that unimpressive. Anyway I couldn't help but notice that all the branches in Manchester seem to have vanished. Has it died quietly in the night?

It's still open in Warrington, they used to have a massive Sayers Cafe there, but it fell victim to redevelopment of the Golden Square, there are quite alot of them in Liverpool.

Although I prefer Greggs.

They nearly went under last year. They closed the main bakery in Norris Green, Liverpool, and focus on fewer Sayers stores, plus their branches of Hampsons.

Greggs make a rank sausage roll.

That is the sum of my thoughts on the subject of bakers.

Oh, and a woman in the Overgate Gregg's stared at me blankly when I demanded well-fired rolls. That is enough to render them completely redundant.

Perhaps she doesn't like them, but was sparing your feelings.

I like a soft floury bap.

I'm not sure Sayers will be around for too much longer if they think this is what their customers want:

Actually, can't believe I missed the Susan Boyle pizza:

Maybe they will survive the recession. You don't get a laugh like that in Greggs. ;)
