Cheltenham car mystery: Couple find lost Ford Fiesta

(No I'm not posting this here purely because it should read "Finds" not "Find".)
It can be find or finds depending on your idiom -- I admit I have to blink twice when American sportswriters refer to sports teams in the singular fashion (Chelsea is winning).

Also - and the main reason I quoted this post - why are they both doing variations on the Nazi salute? (albeit right-handed?)

"Couple" is a singular noun.
But all the substitute words (they, them, us, we etc.) aren't. In my head, it sounds weird potentially having a sentence which reads: "The couple has a car; they have it back."

I love their stories. I’m always intrigued as to whether they are completely made up or if there is *some* truth in them, albeit with some creative licence going on.

I enjoyed their story once of the lady pictured taking a dump outside a Tesco store with the headline “Every Shittle Helps”.

What's funny with that story is how the writer must have it drummed it to them to ensure everyone knows its a local story about local people.

All the way through

Freda Jackson, of Intack ....
... her friend from Shadsworth ...
... The 81 year old from Blackburn ...
... who was born in Whalley ....
... the Blackburn Thomas Cook on King William Street ...
.... Mrs Jackson of Peronne Crescent ....

It's also a story made for local newspaper comments.

Sadly my local paper has switched them off, but I bet they will get lower traffic and hence hits for the ads as a result.

Clearly a local story: Man who visited 27 years ago is gay.

Man did not receive 50p discount for voucher he did not present at time of transaction, has gone so far as to boycott Co-op (but only one store, and also only temporarily lest he miss out on his divvy payment).

Not a local news story but baffling nonetheless:
