He probably talks more sense than half of the people on there.

I wonder if he's still emailing obscene show suggestions to Challenge?

Noticed that Paul Akinbola has posted twice about Challenge over there in recent days. If I recall, he also got banned from Challenge's Facebook for posting similar nonsense?

Same. Can’t log in as I no longer have the email address I have on my profile.

Happened to me too, seems to have happened to most, if not all, people there.

I was able to get back into DS today as it finally sent me an email to change my password. Worth a try if you're locked out.

Ne1L C outdoing himself for morbidness. In the Clive James thread he writes:

β€œ RIP Clive. Also rest in eternal peace Gary (Rhodes) and Jonathan (Miller)”

You hardly even find such sickly sweet sentiments in the death notices in the local newspaper πŸ™„

A treat for those who just love self-indulgent forum members, Guy_Barry is a treat on the radio thread about Times Radio.

Highlights include calling the News UK switchboard to find out how to listen to said station and extracts from his conversation with his mother about the radio station.

A good one from clairvoyant Jetson at DS. Reminder that no figures for last nights Corrie have been released yet anywhere.

Long time since I've posted here but I would say Corrie's sub-6m rating for its anniversary episode is much more down to a poor incumbent producer than coronavirus. I expect Mr MacLeod was secretly relieved to have coronavirus fallout as an excuse to explain away the dismal performance, zero hype and utterly damp squib nature of it. He was poor on Emmerdale and as bad, if not worse, at Corrie.

He might have had some small successes (I'd call them lucky flukes) with the earlier parts of the Yasmeen plot but on the whole the show has been lifeless for a long time. And from clips I saw of the misery porn of Sinead's death then baby Oliver's death, along with the lackadaisical social distancing implementations (compared to EastEnders), it's his fault it has fallen epically flat. Feel really sorry for the show and it deserved better.

The show was floundering on its arse in 2009 and the bosses replaced Kim Crowther in mid-2010 with Phil Collinson who managed to turn the whole show around in about 6 months in time for the 50th anniversary. MacLeod should have been gone in time for this one, similarly.

Just my opinion.

To be fair it did only get 5.6m.
