Well, makes sense; if they make it seem as though you can't go to Asda, you'll go to Morrisons instead! At least, it could work that way.

Apparently it's because we keep pronouncing it wrong. A bit like Jif becoming Cif but in reverse

Which makes no sense in terms of the alliteration.

Although if they want everyone to pronounce 'kreme' the American way (='cream') rather than the French way (= 'krem'), I guess it makes a sort of sense.

Seems quite strange, I've never throught about pronouncing it any way other than "cream".
