Polite version:-

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we regret that the regional news bulletin, sorry, update to Carbuncle Corner, planned for midnight tonight has had to be postponed. We hope to resume normal service by lunchtime tomorrow.

Other version:-

The phuquing wankers at Orange have pulled the plug on all their servers without giving any notice to their customers, so not only can't I access my bleedin' web site, I can't update the phuquer either. When the buggers get their finger out and restart the servers, I'll bung the July edition of Comment up.

I for one am shocked at this show of shoddiness from Orange.

Although, Nick, you should know better than to use Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange :D

I'm devastated at this no show. It's an outrage I tell you...

At last!

Being for the benefit of Mr R (of Wales).

I have to be fair and say that last night was the first incident of unavailability I've noticed since starting hosting with them in 2000. However, as I always say to Asa when he does it, some advance notice would have been appreciated.

I hope that by 2062 we could have warm and chilled wine coming direct to our houses through the taps.

I seriously am considering, instead of buying the missus an engagement ring or putting a deposit on a flat, converting our car (see other thread for slanging match) to LPG.

Or growing my own biofuel.

Apologies to Internet Explorer users who have been unable to access Carbuncle Corner (or any other website containing Sitemeter tracking code) for the last eighteen hours or so.

This was a problem at Sitemeter, not at Carbuncle Corner (or any of the other websites) and now appears to have been resolved.

If you've been getting the "Operation Aborted" error and are desperate to read Comment, please try again now.

More details, for anyone interested, from The Washington Post.
