Becuase it's the same disease, in the same world with the same level of medical care, technology and knowledge as in 1918...

Most people don't even know what "second wave" means, things like the meat packing outbreak in Germany and the rise in cases in the US are being called a "second wave" even though neither are.

I don't think the media publishing misleading beach photos, taken from a distance and heavily zoomed in to make them look a lot more crowded than they actually were, helps these doomsday second wave predictions though.
I think it's because of the assumption that the Liverpool-Atletico game was a big spreader event.

So obviously crowds outside Anfield also equals a spread in their mind.

There's been doomsday second wave predictions for weeks practically every time more than 3 people get together, football related or not, so I wouldn't say that's got much to do with it.

Really fed up with all the continuous complaining about the BBC Breakfast set. It’s incessant.

It's the insistence they use the sport set bc it's better that annoys me. Yeah and Granada's set is also better, why not use that?

Don't forget "weren't they supposed to have a window view downstairs but there was a protest/it was sunny/someone flashed the DG" too.

They’re talking about a virtual set for breakfast television. I can’t think of anything worse on screen at that time of morning!

It's what you'd expect on celebrity capture websites, not a tv pres site.

When will that BBC rebrand huge mock thread be put out of its misery?

I think he’s on about the one that currently has 20 pages.
