Chill out!
Occasionaly, if I'm on a pre-arranged night out, and I'm tired because of work, or there's things on my mind, it takes me a while to 'get into it'. I try and make coverstation, but I don't do a very good job.
Then there's always one who will say 'You're quiet!' or 'Cheer up, it may never happen!" Grrrr. That's not the way to make me suddenly enjoy myself, it just means I'm even more paranoid of not fitting in.
Don't get me wrong, I'm the life and soul of the party normally after a couple of shandys!

It's even worse when your really angry with somone and they treat it like a joke and just keep saying "Whoa, whoa, whoa, chill out mate"
Your yelling at them and they still call you mate...

During a particularly hectic day at work I lost my cool, (just a little), when talking to the Finance Director. Every subsequent conversation had him prefacing with, "Now calmly, calmly...", no matter what we were talking about.
He's a lovely fella but that really did my nut in.
