I've recently started smoking cigars socially because I am under the dellusion that it makes me look classy. I reliality it is reducing my life span and making me smell.

I can't stand the smell of fags myself. My dad smoked until a year ago and you get used to it, but then you pass someone in the street and you realise just how vile it is.

Few of my friends actually smoke though, it's generally thought of as too expensive so it's not done. Anyhow, why smoke when the Borders has the worst drugs problem in Scotland?

I'm not a fan of smoking at all. I think the smell is awful, the cost is astronomical and then the health issues in later life. The best cure is not to start in the first place - but if people want to smoke let them providing no one else suffers as a result from their fumes.

I don't smoke and I am proud of the fact that I don't and I stick by that, I can't stand the smell and I can's stand it when people insist of blowing the smoke all over the place. Thus means that I seem to have to hold my breath for a few seconds, simply because it is bloody awful. Though I am fortunate that all of my close friends don't smoke.

Though it is funny at College as everyone who wants a fag seems to go something like 1 Mile off premises to have a smoke, as it is literally across the road from a Primary School and right next door to a Lesiure Centre.

Though I went into my local Somerfield last Saturday and my friend was on the kiosk and there was this bizzare woman who demanded one particular brand, though my friend said and this I agree with, is that they are all the same and somehow they will all kill you.

I'm a never, and I don't particularly like it either, but I couldn't ask my friends that do not to. The only place I won't let anyone smoke is in my room. I kinda have to let them elsewhere in the house because my housemates smoke. As long as I don't get a face full of smoke blown at me I'm fine.

*steps foward cautiously*

I've smoked since 2000/2001. I was always one of the 'I'll never smoke' people, but then one day I just bought a packet of fags.

About 6 months ago I used to smoke 20-30 fags a DAY! Thankfully it's now down to about 10.

I don't plan to give up in the near future, just smoke less fags. It's usually after a bellyfull of food and a can of lager that you really want a fag!!

I'm off to have one now...brb ;)

How about use the smoking less fags thing as a means to coming off them altogether? If you stop, your health will improve, and you'll have more money to save towards a holiday or something like that....

I've reduced a hell of a lot and now down to the odd fag on a night out with mates. Compared to around 60 over a week which is what I was on before I'm pleased with this reduction, but admit smoking zero would be even better, and of course this is my aim. I don't count in how many fags I reduce by though. Money is a much more stark indicator. I now treat myself to a new album/dvd at least once a month ;)
