I wonder why they never thought of a "Classic Interface" for Windows 95! Is there actually a Windows 3.1 skin available somewhere? I do believe there is a Powertoy or something like that where you can make Windows ME or 2000 look like XP, though of course, I may be wrong. If you did a cus...

Is there no right-click and "remove this" type option then or in Norton or somewhere like that? I'm sure Mr Norton knows better than to put something there permantely, that is the work of spyware and what not to make it impossible to remove but Norton should know better. I've never found ...

I'm not sure quite what Microsoft have done wrong though. Well basically my main reasons are thus. 1 - until SP2 it was impossible to remove the barnicles such as Norton's toolbar from IE, I like tidyness, I'm fussy. Firefox doesn't have an uninstall button for extensions yet and I quite happily un...

Well it depends what "public place" defines. If they were to ban it in the street say I'd totally be against it. I disagree with them though, mainly due to the sheer hypocracy in place here. They have a legal drug here and then ban it in places. Bars and clubs should be allowed to choose w...

Well I've never seen a recent computer with the Start button burned in. Taking into account that it's there all the time you'd expect it to be. Screensavers are more often than not just there to be more interesting than the normal screen. Many modern ones have bits that stay still so it's going agai...

The full version of the aquarium screensaver from Plus! for Windows XP at http://www.serenescreen.com is lovely although you do have to pay for it to get the serial number. Generally I like the simpler screensavers as more complex ones annoy me. The 3D Windows XP one at http://www.microsoft.com/wind...

Longhorn is a codename. XP was Whisler for ages. These IIRC, refer to the mountains around MS's headquarters or something.

When it comes out it'll be called something like XP2, Windows 2006, NT6 or something like that.

1280 x 960 because it's the highest possible on my monitor while still being the right shape. 1280 x 1024 is the stupidest shape ever.
