Re: 2015 UK Election
If the SNP didn't want the decision to be once in a generation, they shouldn't have said it would be. I do agree it was a poor choice of thing to say and its made a rod for their own back media-wise; but that doesn't alter the fact that its not in one man's gift to make such a determination. I thin...

Re: 2015 UK Election
And I don't want that happening either, it makes a mockery of the idea in both cases. Majority rules, end of. "End of"? Majority rules until when? Until sunset? Until the end of the parliament? Until your death? Any political vote - from who governs to whether we join a common market or a...

Re: 2015 UK Election
I've got an out-there prediction to make. Tory and SNP coalition (or looser agreement) I think the Tories will make them an offer they can't refuse on devolution of powers (esp on spending) in return for English votes for English people (so therefore SNP not being able to vote down a Tory budget). ...

It was sarcasm at Ed's expense, but yes he'd get gubbed.

Re: 2015 UK Election
This does mean Labour would try and push throw a new trident deal and you would be draft not to believe the tories supporting the bill to get it though. Unless your comment was about my comment about ed wont being in Alex pocket? Neither newspaper columns nor party pledges mean anything at the mome...

You do tend to proclaim thing...

Re: Quad Core CPUs for Video Encoding - Are they Worth it
I upgraded to an i7 quad core (or 8 with hyper threading, I suppose) and a relatively hefty GPU (Radeon HD 7700 series). The combination of the two is highly satisfactory. My productivity (if you can call it that for hobby work) has massively increased. I was lucky and spotted this machine on Gumtre...
