The layout of those tills look similar to easyeverything/easyinternetcafe circa 2000!
However, if you're not buying items to be weighed, It'll certainly save on time when buying a sandwich and a paper.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
Is this Tesco in question using the new Self Checkouts which use the minimum amount of space possible?
The smaller tills are designed for the 'meal deal' crowd with smaller carrier bags, these have recently been added to Tesco Surrey Quays in addition to the larger tills.

Hi guys,
I'm thinking about a witty comment to add to this conversation. Would appreciate any input/ideas you may have.

There's always one person on TVF who doesn't get the mood of the discussion.
It's clear that the Tommy Cooper dying on stage at Her Majesty's Theatre shouldn't be posted, so what does TopCat do....?

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
I've done the mag stripe signature once in Sainsburys, however when they haven't been able to read my chip is to print a receipt and take me to Customer Services or the kiosk to pay.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
Popped into Morrisons on Thursday and in the 3 minutes I was scanning my basket, two other checkouts had the "Processing.....Please Wait" window come up. The assistant put one couple affected onto another checkout while the other one resolved itself. Reboots, disk checks and/or card and ca...

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
The Co-op's self scan machines are dire to use, made worse by the fact the staff ignore the flashing red beacon and their little administrator's monitor thingy. I can complete an entire self scan transaction in a matter of seconds with Tesco's machinery. Co-op's however is slow, buggy and very user...

Sainsbury's has always been the card prompt for me, although you can put cash/coins without pressing the cash button.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread
Sainsbury's have upgraded the Self Checkout software on most of the terminals in one of my local stores today, which have a larger typeface for the 'Start' and Own Bag buttons.
The new Sainsbury's font is being used throughout.
The other main Sainsburys still has the old interface.
