My Nectar Prices - like Clubcard Prices, but you have to use the SmartShop scan as you go app. In-store only too. Hmmm.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
According to today's Times: National Express is expected to have to divest Stagecoach’s Megabus operations in the intercity coach market. National Express and Megabus are the UK’s only two nationwide coach operators although Flixbus a German disruptor, has entered and is expanding in the market. NX ...

Re: Energy bills: How spanked will YOU get?
[...] PFP Energy. They went under last week, and I'm now in the process of being moved over to British Gas. I note that that energy supplier is encouraging people to sign a change.org petition demanding the Business Secretary resign from his post! It looks like the petition was set up by another su...

Re: Masks
My only objection is the "we're nearly there!" line in the Sainsbury's in-store recorded announcement about wearing face-coverings. I like the lady's upbeat attitude but she's been promising me we're nearly there for months and months.

Was this model ever truly sustainable? According to an interview I saw with the boss of Ecotricity (who say they are well-hedged and safe for now), many of these companies were loss leading to try and gain market share, with an eye to profitability/higher prices for consumers in the future. But wit...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
Wait until you hear about the prolifieration of corner shops on wheels in London. I've seen a Scottish one called Snappy Shopper but never used any of these as I live across the road from a Tesco. Quite interesting to see those delivery fees are quite low compared to Sainsbury's £4.99 flat fee . Or...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
I find it quite ironic that the supermarket that used to encourage you to "try something new today" now rewards you with Nectar points for buying exactly the same things week after week seemingly. Also, is this Sainsbury's "Chop Chop" app some sort of trial or something? Saw it a...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
I posted a load of uninformed rubbish earlier, and when I tried to edit my post it went a bit wrong. Anyway, after deciding to read bits of Royal Mail Group's annual report, they have big plans for parcels under the usual postal network, with new hubs for sorting, Sunday deliveries (I had one yester...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
I'm not sure what he is on about claiming people are criticising nationality of other members. Some people criticised changes to the ABC logo recently, and he took it as an insult to all United States citizens. I was tempted to point out BBC, ITV, Sky channel logos get their share of criticism too,...

Re: Radio 1's Big Weekend
Different times, different station. You're right. I didn't mean to sound critical of Wrighty. As a kid in the 90s I loved listening to him and the team. That 1988 video was before my time, but having watched the full programme he's the one that seems to be most light-hearted about the whole gig. Th...
