Re: Sky Anytime

it does surprise me that even the new sky boxes don't seem to have an ethernet port (or even wireless support) on them so they need to dial out with a crappy slow modem for internet access. The exception is Sky+ HD boxes which do have one. I wonder if Sky are planning an IPTV VOD service available ...

Re: BBC Local Radio to drop 'Radio' branding.

I think the point which has been missed here is that this change only applies to off air branding. On air, the stations will continue with the word Radio. So essentially each station will have two names. How unbelievably absurd, and what better way to weaken a brand? It seems even more unbelievable ...

No, I don't mean that. I'm just concerned that he won't have the backbone to make tough decisions when required to do so. He seems like the kind of person who wouldn't say boo to a goose -- but sometimes it's necessary. I fail to see how you come to this conclusion. I think it's a fairly safe assum...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

Ugh - I think you might be right. It pisses me right off when searching for something TV related on YouTube and you end up wading through a whole load of laughably poor mocks from the aesthetically bewildered, accompanied by the obligatory "OMG LOL LEGEND!!!!!!!!" comments. Worst are those...

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

By the way, has the Mocks forum finally died a death? No-one's posted in there for nine days now. Even the cross-eyed chimps who were posting most of the recent bilge seem to have abandoned it now.

Marvellous news. It's hard not to feel a little more optimistic for the future now.

A great relief too that that Alaskan nutjob isn't going to be one frail old man away from the most important job on earth.

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

I think the ones which grate the most are the SM:TV thread "celebrating the 10th anniversary" when it barely lasted for half of that decade and the Christmas thread which seems to be taking on the usual form of fantasy schedules, Brekkie being wrong and endless whinging about old ads not ...
