Re: The UK is on Google Street View!
Odd that they haven't covered much of the UK, when it launched here just about every major city had the majority of streets. The turn-by-turn directions are particularly good. The only annoying bit now is that we don't have any of the tram/train/bus information that they have in other cities and cou...

Re: Own-brand Cola
There's a kiwi one called Phoenix which you can get at more upmarket supermarkets here which is delicious, it tastes just like those cola-bottle lollies if you have those in the UK.

I had much the same feeling learning you weren't a Bond-esque villain.

$99 for a 500GB drive in one of our electronics stores I noted today.
I think that translates to around £40.

In Australia they sell that as well as plasma televisions and outdoor settings. It's bizarre.marksi wrote:I HATE THE HARVEY NORMAN ADVERTS BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING AWFUL SHOUTING VOICEOVERS.
I also think they have a very odd combination of products. Beds, sofas, dining tables and PCs.

Egg is a wonderful name for a bank! I think I'll need to further investigate that one..

Re: A Magical Christmas, Ljubljana-style
TBH I think the name of the entire department is a bit wanky. Kevin and company disappoint me because he seemed like such an intelligent and eloquent person, when these days all we seem to see is a sort of parrot who just reads off press releases and focus grouped gobbledegook ad nauseum. Oh well. I...

Re: A Magical Christmas, Ljubljana-style
The thing that I find most confusing is why they can't just attempt to shut down these subversive webites, rather than blocking them. The very existence of a list like that seems dangerous to me. What's even more galling is that the senator involved is indeed following the intense criticism and deba...
