Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Have Poundland shops been closing in your parts? We've had 3 close in recent times near me. Liverpool's Queen's Square shop, St Helens' Church Street Shopping Centre, and the one in Huyton.

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
Since no one has commented on it, the Government has urged Train Operators to scrap plans to close Ticket Offices. Which is interesting, because it was the Government's plans to close them in the first place. There was little interest from the operators in mass closures until they were instructed t...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
Since no one has commented on it, the Government has urged Train Operators to scrap plans to close Ticket Offices. Truthfully, I think that they will still do layoffs, and have current ticket officers reapply for similar, but nominally different, jobs with some revamped responsibilities, and maybe r...

Re: The Technology Thread
I can understand the short term cost of having your accessories being made redundant, but it does open up some opportunity for some Android and Apple accessories to be cross-platform. Obviously nothing proprietary, but certainly battery packs, wired earphones, and charging wires. Obviously, Apple wi...

Re: The Technology Thread
I still have my A52 5G as a dedicated MP3 player. The battery is still good, even better now it's only used for music. The SD expansion is handy, and I still have the headphone jack. My Pixel 7A has none of that, and I think the A54 has unfortunately gone down the same rout, correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Nationwide's new 'bragging about not closing branches' advert features its new logo. Gone is the serif typeface, now it's fine for the vogue of minimalist design. I really don't like it. Having it all lowercase doesn't strike me as formal, and the house icon is barely discernable. The negative space...

Re: What's going on with all this gender stuff?
Addendum: The reason its so confusing for people to relate is because it isn't 'their experience'. I also think another issue that non gender normative people suffer is that some people do use confusing pronouns that are not mainstream, and are hard to grasp for people. I am not saying one size fits...

Re: What's going on with all this gender stuff?
I think calling it 'This gender stuff' is a bit generalised. But, from my point of view: 1. Biological sex is just that. Biological. You are born with a set of genitalia, sometimes biological defects affect it, but you are born with a certain genitalia. We can all agree on that as a fact. 2. Gender ...
