Re: "Namby Pamby Day"

What happened to those blue and orange Sainsbury's plastic baskets that they wanted you to use instead of bags? Presumably you buy them and you'd see all the posh people use them in their cars full of shopping in the late 90s

Re: The Media.info News and Infomation board

Didn't their forum only allow industry types to join or am I thinking of somewhere else? I can't remember where I got those clean late 90's WM jingles from that I lost, must have been there.

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread

My local Lidl has demolished itself and is being rebuilt from the ground up. I saw one in Norfolk doing something similar last year - I think they are better off spending their money on a modern logo, a name change and some decent edible food

Re: Adverts that irritate and entertain

I keep thinking they are warnings rather than shopping tips, from the way they are speaking - also why are Barclays moonlighting as IT teachers these days?

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

And here it is, in a shot I took in 2012, looking delightfully 90s http://up.metropol247.co.uk/stu/IMG_0626.jpg At xmas I went into the new That's Entertainment (terrible selection of CDs), which is right next to the recently moved Fopp. When did fopp stop being a place for bargains? Cheaper than HM...

Re: Digital Spy Watch News and Information Board

I occasionally read it for Sky, freeview and radio gossip - it's 99% moaning about Murdoch or some other big corporation. Who gives a toss?

Re: TV Forum Watch News and Information Board

(Plus you can discuss radio on there without the assholes on there moaning 'It's a Tv Forum'! I did enjoy your updates on Radio WM etc, no idea why you got so much stick over it. I'd rather read that than a bleeding rota list - the magical art of TV newscasting reduced to who's on at 9 on Thursday ...

Re: The Tesco & Other non-Morrisons Supermarket Thread

My local Tesco are trying to get local businesses to advertise on the side of trolley parks and various walls near the store, might be a trial or an enthusiastic manager experimenting?

Re: The TSB & Lloyds Bank relaunch news and information boar

A TSB billboard with "Hello Warley" on it has gone up in my old stamping ground of Blackheath - Warley was discontinued in the early 70's as a borough name/area, so god knows where they got it from.

My Lloyds had a big jar of discs, or pogs to help yourself to, with the new logo on it

We used to have bottles of stera for hot drinks. If you have run out of pas do not be tempted to use it on your cereal.
