As I see it, there isn't a massive requirement for ongoing discussion about local news - it's not a story that develops in any way, so people start to talk about who is presenting to keep the thread going... which...

The only such item I'm loyal to is Fairy liquid since I've found anything else to be a false economy. Whenever the big bottles are less than £1 I buy a couple, normally suffices until the next offer. I do this sort of thing with stuff like Ribena too. ...But it doesn't get the dishes quite so clean...
