Re: There an election this year.....
The reform supporters on social media are some of the strangest people.
I've actually been blocked by either the local reform candidate or party on Facebook.
My crime? Responding to their posts on local fb groups (which I'm a longer term member of) with mildly challenging questions and their ...

I 've managed to speak with some of the local activists, I have to be fair to all party's plus you get an insight into what they are believing.
All I can say for the SNP ones are they need to loses and they need to have a good long hard look at themselves, there living in a bubble.

Re: There an election this year.....
In my local constituency the Labour candidate is the only candidate who doesn't live locally. She lives in London, so was seemingly parachuted in, apparently to the displeasure of the local Labour Party.
At the first local hustings the Reform candidate didn't show up. The hustings poll indicated ...

Re: There an election this year.....
D Day has got to be Sunak's "bigoted woman" moment right? An absolutely extraordinary own goal of monumental proportions. That image of Cameron with three actual current world leaders is quite something. There's four more weeks but surely, surely it can't get worse than this?!
I dare say he's ...

The summary of the election debate...
- Rishi: "It'll be a disaster if Labour run the country, you don't want to risk it."
- Keir: "You've had 14 years and Liz Truss was the last PM before you."
- Both: "I can talk over you and won't stop when I'm asked to."

I think that's highly unlikely to happen, in part due to the first past the post electoral system. As the alternative vote referendum back in 2011 was two thirds against using the AV system I can't see it ...

Re: Old supermarket signage
My local Waitrose has a somewhat dated frontage, and it's logo hasn't been updated to include "And Partners".

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
It's interesting to see Tesco's GetGo has been trialling scan-free self service tills in one of their stores, ref https://www.tescoplc.com/tesco-to-introduce-new-scan-free-technology-on-self-service-tills-at-getgo-store/

Re: The Very Official McDonalds (and other fast food outlets) Thread
When we use McD we tend to use the table service option. At least this means whilst waiting several minutes we can be sat down and chatting.
