Baysick Litterasy

OK, not having a go at dyslexics or anybody like that obviously, but I'm talking about examples of signs in public places that have blatent spelling clangers in them to such an extent it gives off a poor image of the company or service provided. Some recent examples I have seen: York Hospital cantee...

I worked for Superdrug for 5 years as a Saturday assistant and although I never experienced customers like the first example, there are numerous examples of 'annoying' customers. The customer places three items on the till and says "Just these please." Well, obviously. The numbers of times...

In town yesterday there was a woman, I'd say in her early 60's, with a tea towel on her head, trying to get people to take leaflets about whatever is going on in the middle east. All it seemed to be doing was creating a litter problem.

Some more to ponder: Dunno if they have been mentioned, but whatever happened to Martin's the newsagents (think they were also known as RS MCColl in some parts of the country.) Shame as they were rather good. I recall two very huge branches, one in Eastbourne, and one in Weymouth. A smaller branch i...

I'm 100% certain NOW 4 wasn't the first NOW release on CD. The first one was simply called NOW '86 and was simply a compilation of hits from that year. The first numbered NOW album, that I remember seeing in WHSmith's at the time was NOW 8. Remember you can only own a complete set of every album to ...
