John Menzies were as big as WHS in the SW, with stores of equal size and very similar ranges. Used them for record purchases, locally their record departments were stores within stores, which was unusual.

Both for Online or Instore purchases, usually like to buy white goods in person though, feel more empowered to do something about faults with food prep/protect kit in person, rather on the phone.

The big downer of Comet, and if they follow DSG folding is that the opportunity for inspecting items pre purchase will all but disappear. Not so critical with brown goods, but white ones really need inspecting for build quality and if they are to be slotted in, for peculiar fittings and extrusions. ...

An aside, have been in London, have visited a number of stores, some having Win 8 PCs alsongside Apple devices, the vast majority of the punters were still attracted to Apple devices where given a choice.
