Re: Lillibullero

I meant to post this last year when they released the album, but only remembered when I got it for my birthday. Bellowhead, who you may or may not have already come across produced a typically rousing version of lillibullero for their most recent album. Fortunately, you don't have to part with any c...

Re: Coffee

I didn't drink coffee until about 3 or 4 years ago. We were then treated to free costa coffee at work and that helped me acquire the taste (it's slowly gone downhill through Starbucks and now some unbranded horribly bitter coffee beans). I bought the same espresso machine as Dr L, having been advise...

Re: Google+

For me, it's found its place as more of a sharing medium rather than a social network. I've grown disinterested with facebook and for me, google+ gives me what I need for sharing with various people with better controls and much much less self centred status updates - where they do exist, they are e...

Your online reflection

http://mirror.nationalmediamuseum.org.uk/ Just saw a link to this, which is a project between the national media museum and the University of Cambridge. I didn't allow it to access my facebook profile because I don't let anything other than friend access that, but I was surprised at what it had gat...

Re: Phone cameras

Other than what cwathen said, I think the main problems with phone cameras is the amount of noise generated on such a small sensor when manufacturers try to cram on too many pixels - I think 5megapixel is about maximum for a phone sized sensor, and then there is the poor perspex lenses that seem be ...

Re: Phone dilemma

Yes, a charge will last me all day on normal usage and up to the evening on heavy usage.

I was talking to a colleague this morning about the One S that he's just got and he was praising it's battery life, saying he can get 2 days out of it at times...

Re: Phone dilemma

Probably in the same boat as me then. I've been surprised at how slowly the app storage is filling up since moving from my Desire. I try and keep on top of moving those that I can out of phone storage, but I'm still less than 500mb with most of the apps I currently want.

Re: Phone dilemma

The internal storage is more than enough for me, but then I've never stretched the SD storage on my phones in the past because up to this phone, the audio performance was never good enough for it to take over as my main music device. I find that I generally have access to wifi whenever I want to wat...

Re: Phone dilemma

I think it's probably a good choice - I got the One X a few weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it. The One S will have the advantage that it shouldn't eat through it's battery as quickly. I was torn between the Samsung S3 and HTC One X. After playing on my wife's S2, I came to the conclusion that I...
