Re: Why are Media Studies degrees disregarded?

...and to counter the worthless degree argument (and I recognise that I'm coming to this from a slightly different angle): While many people 'get on' in certain careers without achieving a degree, my experience is that in the most cases, the process of learning how to learn is only completed during ...

Not £30, but also not the £11 you found. There were in one of the sale catalogues and I think they were somewhere around £15-20 at that time.

Re: Lovely Lightbulbs

I ordered this for my son's bedroom: http://cpc.farnell.com/flexoled/flex01pk1/led-flexi-strip-kit-rgb-30led/dp/DP33007 While the white on this one sucks (in terms of colour temperature) because it's been compromised for the ability to mix colours, the build quality and light output is excellent. Re: Another 'Yet Another phone thread'

I have three oneplus invitations that have 2 days left on them. If anybody is interested, PM me your email and I'll forward one on. £280 for a well specced 5.5" smart phone, rooted and running cyanogen (android 5 on it's way in the new year).

I think this is a feature of some commonly used WiFi hardware in most phones now - they seem to want to cling onto a particularly bad hotspot for as long as possible ...

Re: Yet another phone thread

HTC's problem is generally down to the fact that they choose to use a perspex lens on the outside of the case. It doesn't matter how many megapixels you have in your camera, point it through a scratchy lens and it'll always look crap. I've never been massively impressed with any phone camera, genera...

I think this has only happened once for me and it was around the time of a fairly major youtube tv upgrade. Since then it's been solid.

Re: What is this?

The length of the dipole looks shorter than the 137mhz images - I think 137mhz requires a dipole length of around 3 foot. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it doesn't look to be over 2 foot total length which would put it up in the region of 225mhz, which is not available for amateur use in the ...

Re: I'm dreaming of a white Chris...March

This reminded me of something an ex-colleague used to roll out whenever it was particularly cold in Spring. He'd talk of a year that had a record breaking summer, yet there was widespread snow in June. A quick google suggests it was 1975... I probably should have listened more. Metro Article Forum p...
