Re: Another High Street Rebrand
the new Asda design made me wonder what happened to the old "Permanently Low Prices Forever" stones that used to sit by the entrances, and it appears I'm not the only person to have thought that. He located a couple, but then the trail seems to have gone cold: https://loststonesofasda.word...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread
I just, I don’t know, I can’t get my head round paying someone to go to the shop for me because I can’t be arsed. Yes yes I know, some people aren’t able to etc, but I don’t think that’s who is using this. Wait until you hear about the prolifieration of corner shops on wheels in London. I've mostly...

West London is something of an Aldi desert - Lidl have stores in Acton, Hammersmith and She Bu (and have for ages).
Leytonstone's Matalan closed recently and seems like it's going to be half M&S Food; half Aldi, though the council have longer-term ambitions to turn it into housing.

They've not made a fuss about it (as they don't seem to be rolling it out to everyone at once), but Monzo now support cheque imaging.

ah - I've only had exposure to VM's current account and ISA platform and didn't realise they had more!
Nationwide is, as you say, unified - it's just very retro. It could probably survive a reskin, but a ground-up rebuild would be the more sensible option.
