Re: Election propaganda
The subject at hand IS national insurance, taxation, society and recovery from recession. Thank goodness we're back on topic. And yes, I probably would grumble about paying a bit more National Insurance in the next tax year, but then we have to pay for our public services somehow and I think this i...

Re: The *OFFICIAL* Asda thread
Anyone know what the deal is with the "Sorry.. Temporarily out of stock" SELs? My hunch is that they seem to be used where a product is known to be unavailable - ie. it didn't arrive on that morning's lorry but the system knows it's still needed in store. Often you will see a gap during th...

From my tellywatching last night, I note that Gavin from AutoGlass seems to have been replaced by Steve from AutoGlass. In an odd twist, it looks like Steve drives a van with Gavin printed on the side.

You should be excited. I love it, although it struggles a wee bit with finding Edinburgh weather sometimes. Also, can any owners recommend a skin/case for the Desire. I wasn't going to bother - but then I dropped it in a car park yesterday, resulting in me falling to my knees screaming "NOOOOOO...

Re: whyPhone?
I've signed up for 600mins unlimited texts and 500mb data for £30. Will this be a lot of data (bearing in mind browsing the net on the move is a new thing for me). I suppose I can add a bundle for extra, but it would be good to get an idea from others. This was a bit of a concern for me too. When I...

I wish Newswipe was in production at the moment. There's been some bizarre news moments today. As well as a small number of "no-one tells us anything" grumblers at airports, I've also seen BBC News show a viewer email outlining how the author intends to contest his insurer's view that a vo...

Re: whyPhone?
I got mine today. I love it so much and really pleased with my Vodafone deal. So much to discover though as I went from quite an old skool phone to something I'm not sure I can handle yet. I did grow attached to my old Sony Ericsson phone though and it's kinda odd going from using it constantly to n...

I have a little experience looking after a few domains at work. Was with 123-reg for a while but they did something that infuriated me - can't remember what now. Been with UKreg & Fasthosts (same company) for 4-5 years now and never had any issues. The control panel is excellent and they have re...

Re: Yet another rebrand thread.
I only recently discovered I could use my Ridacard on the posh buses. Not 100% sure why that's the case - seems to be fairly hidden on their website. I think it's meant to be a bit of a concession made for airport workers who travel back and forth every day. I doubt they can legally favour the work...
