Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

I'm very impressed with Morrisons for cobbling together their Food Box service, which I'm sure has been a great help to a lot of people. It's delivered by DPD in insulated boxes with ice packs. We just received ours, and the freshness of everything was spot on. No guarantees as to what you'll get in...

The ultra-minimalist Savers packaging didn't last long.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

Tell you what annoys me. The paper petrol vouchers that only last a set time. Given they have the tech to be able to vary the price of petrol based on your clubcard (as shown during that excellent offer a few years ago) I wish they'd just make the whole thing automatic. Unless it's also a wheeze to...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

Certainly an interesting approach to a rebrand – it appears that the former Thomas Cook staff re-employed by Hays Travel have been told to create their own temporary signage! (Pics are from various local news sites over the last few days) Still, it's mightily impressive that Hays are delivering on t...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

That's brilliant, thank you. I wonder if that store had literally just lost its Safeway branding at that point. They seemed to be doing a gradual conversion while keeping the store open, unlike the conversions on the mainland where they closed the stores for about a week to obliterate every trace o...

The header has made me feel nostalgic. Do these photos exist anywhere still? Yes! Successfully found buried away somewhere on my hard drive, and re-uploaded... https://up.metropol247.co.uk/rdobbie/IMG_1190.jpg https://up.metropol247.co.uk/rdobbie/IMG_1189.jpg https://up.metropol247.co.uk/rdobbie/IM...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread

The latter is a bit of a moot point, as Esso are switching to Nectar in June. Thanks, I wasn't aware of this. I see that it also means the end of the very long relationship between BP and Nectar (the BP logo appeared on the front of the first generation of Nectar cards). The link between collecting...

Re: ***THE OFFICIAL ALL NEW SAFEWAY THREAD***

POS now all over McColl's...'Safeway, brought to you from Morrisons, only at McColl's'. Seems a bit confused. I thought the point of bringing back the Safeway brand was so Morrisons could operate as a wholesaler on the quiet without using their own brand outside of their own stores. If their brand ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

This photo, shamelessly stolen from a local Facebook group, shows the Bunnings in Walthamstow - as of this week, a Homebase again. https://up.metropol247.co.uk/thegeek/37728335_10215271963687102_451758953844441088_o.jpg I was in said Homebase today - last time I was there was before its brief sojou...
