BBCMeridian is quite irritating aren't they?

I do wonder if TfL are waiting to see who's in charge of DfT before agreeing to any new funding from the DfT? Having someone new as SoS could reset the relationship between the two which frankly has been frosty at best.

I haven't signed up to either yet but I think there is a strict no politics rule.

Minimum service requirement are a matter of when rather than if, I know the unions will be furious and kick a fuss but I think the general public would embrace it if it came into fruition. It already exists in countries like France, Spain and Italy.

I'm confuse how you can have non payment via Apple Pay or Google Pay. On TfL services, it's pretty straight forward

Surely a wooden or bamboo spoon would be better than cardboard.

Compared to Bob Crow who was a much easier target for the media, Lynch comes across well media wise.

I think the often-quoted train driver salaries have much to do with that (even though train drivers aren’t even in RMT) - the impression being given though is that it’s people who are already paid well wanting even more when others are more deserving. IIRC the majority of train drivers are with ASL...

In regards to the strikes, it is interesting that you don't see other unions vilified by the press in the same way as the RMT and I wonder if the RMT has an image problem to a degree.

I admit I do enjoy this thread because it's harmless observations of members who are a bit annoying.
