Re: The Barclays and other non-Lloyds/TSB Bank thread
Nationwide have rebranded. Their old logo was dated but the new branding has got a very 90s feel.
They’ve taken the heavily stylised church behind the house out of their logo. I think that would have attracted the ire of the right-wing press a decade ago, but I suspect even they won’t care ...

Re: What's going on with all this gender stuff?
As far as I can tell, a trans identity is understood to be any of the strands below, each building on the one above - for simplicity, since we're both guys, let's assume we are referring to me going through a male to female transition:
1. I tell you that I feel like I am a women, but make no ...

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
It's interesting to see the Tesco Value branding making an appearance on clothes. One of their latest offer leaflet also seems to have adopted this old-style look.
In some respects it's slightly surprising that the Tesco Value (or the latter Tesco Everyday Value) hasn't make a return to their food ...

Re: The Technology Thread
My mid-range Samsung didn't come with a charger either.
I think most of them now only come with a USB cable and not the plug. The excuse given that it reduces waste, as many people already have a plug and some plug their phone into a USB power socket these days. Rather conveniently by not ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I see they've banned Russell Brand talk, presumably it was a moderating pain for them when the Schofe allegations came out?
Sensible decision.
I think that on balance I also agree with the decision.
As things stand Brand has not even been arrested, let alone charged or found guilty. The ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I notice that there's been discussion over changes to thr edit window on posts.
I presume someone has been editing their posts to say "anyone who replies to this post is a massive bumhole", or similar. Does anyone know what was going on?
Maybe they had a situation like TVF where a member threw ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
Much stronger brand than their own and the website is much better aswell. £5m for a whole website, regardless to brand isn't that much in the grand scheme of things especially when it has recognition. I know Wilko has been selling on Amazon for quite awhile now.
Wonder if long term they might ...

I was tempted to post the following reply, which I probably stole from someone here years ago...

I didn't post it there as I knew at the very least it would understandably get removed. Think toys and pram spring to mind. Whilst I ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I think Globaltraffic24 neatly summed up GBN in one succinct sentence a few days ago:
“We’re amazingly popular because we got more viewers than eternally loss making Sky News” is fairly lame.
On the subject of GB News' operations (as I'm sensing it's not permitted on pres.cafe despite not ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
The Guardian reported that the logistics firm that handles Wilko's store deliveries suspended deliveries for two days last week while they were awaiting payment.
Home delivery is suspended, but thanks to store deliveries resuming click and collect is back to normal.
And surprisingly, still ...

Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
I think most people will realise by now that Derek will say anything to support GB News both on Pres Cafe and DS and while Stockland Hillman comes over as this supposed neutral who tries to post as if everyone's in the wrong, he's another who'll defend the channel regardless of the misinformation ...
