No, HMV had a smaller site which is now a tourist gift shop facing Coventry St at the Trocodero. Virgin was originally Tower Records at 1 Piccadilly Circus.

HMV.com appears to have closed their online store within the past few days, with the site seemingly now a music news site. HMV's physical media shop closed when the business went into administration. HMV Ireland have re-opened their online shop, while the UK is concentrating on downloads for now. I...

The Oxford Mail may have got the wrong end of the stick, confusing the HMV Oxford Street, London closure with speculation that the Oxford store will be closing in this editorial from today.

It appears there's no return for Blockbuster UK this time round. Rentals will end on Saturday, with stock sold off between now and the end of the month.
