Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake
the ones on the closure list tomorrow are the lucky ones now imo Honestly, the lucky ones are probably those working in the 50 odd stores B&M have bought. 'Not being clear' if the Wilko staff are part of the deal and will join B&M under TUPE as is being widely reported is actually very clea...

Re: Predictions for 15/08/2023
So predictions for 15/8/2033... 1) The process of trying to break bread with the EU following Brexit (something already started) will continue with possible re-joining being a constant theme. Eventually readmission under the same terms we had before (including the opt outs and keeping the pound) wil...

Avonmeads, Bristol - unlike much of the...

Re: Another High Street Rebrand
Just saw a TV ad for Halifax bank, with what looked like an updated logo on it - it's no longer stripy and has a new font. I normally log in to Bank of Scotland's online banking, but had cause to use the Halifax-skinned version of it today, and see that they're still using the old branding on there...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
I do get though a commercial private entity that doesn't want to pay Rick to sit behind a window selling five tickets per day, and twiddling thumbs for the rest. Where I do start to question the logic of closing quieter ticket offices is that these stations usually already don't have any dedicated ...

Re: Public Transport in your particular part of the region
One more Tory scorched earth policy before they're booted I agree. There is rather a lot being made of 'replacing ticket offices with ticket machines'. Arguably, ticket machines themselves are fast becoming redundant. I would be interested to know, not just the percentage of tickets bought through ...

Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
Second in each category and gaining significantly. Not dead ducks. Not entirely sure what argument you're trying to have Will. Both are indeed second - a cavernously distant second - but that second position is with the world's largest software company spending years pushing them and still they're ...
