Not tried Copernic, so can't comment on that, but here's a run down of what I thought of the others: Google Desktop Search - Initially tried this, thinking that the Google talent at web search would t...

I have done this before, and know I am an ENTJ - which comprises something like 2% of the population. It's a visionary pain in the arse who thinks that rules and regulations are pointless, tends to think and react to things immediately and hates people who make mistakes.

Pretty much spot on.

Re: Tony Blair

Just saw him on News 24. Bloody hell. If that's what a summer holiday does to you I'm glad I didn't have one. He says you can tell which kids will cause problems before they're born. He's turning into Norman Tebbit. Time he got on his bike. Funny that. Presumably he knew that Euan would turn out to...

Have to say, it may be the case that your engine does need replacing. If a plug has exploded they can cause some pretty serious damage and get incredibly hot. It is not really the spark plug exploding that would cause damage, though... hard to explain, but it is the heat produced as a result of it, ...

Is there a program other than Open Office and the expensive Adobe Acrobat that allows you to print PDF files? On the Mac it is a pretty standard feature in all apps.

Thanks for that, Bail Can you explain to me a couple of things: MSN/Live Messenger. Is Live Messenger replacing MSN Messenger, or is it replacing Windows Messenger? Or is it replacing both? IE7 - I've read that it's not actually all that terrible, so do I still want Firefox? Office Beta - I looked a...

Answers: Yes, lots of people use them. I did for a short period when I was in London a lot. How much do they cut fares? Depends who you are, how you use it, where you use it, when you use it, etc. There are different types for different travellers. Check the TFL website and it'll explain all. And ye...

A new PC - your essential apps, please

So I've given in, and after two years of suffering with a Mac I'm changing back to Windows. (Partly prompted by the fact that the Mac is broken and my insurance policy expires in two days). I've made sure i've got more than enough RAM and disk space and graphics memory to cope with Vista, too, so it...
