Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Don't be daft, in my local Town Sainsburys was here in 2 areas well before both Asda's came around.

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

Just been in my local Sainsburys and it was madness, I'm guessing all the tills are now on the new POS System? as they had ques at the self service and the normal tills. One of the girls codes wouldn't let her override anything on self service, the till I got to seem to be ok to be fair (one of the ...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

There's not a warehouse somewhere with a job lot of posters. They are generally printed for each administration. A friend was working in the marketing department of Peacocks when they went under and the company rebelled against using the design as they felt it undermined their determination to keep...

Re: The Unofficial Sainsbury's Thread

The Sainsbury's about 20 mins down the motorway from be has already got a Argos inside, and by the looks it was very new as lots of signs saying Argos now in store. It was right at the end of the till points but looked very snazzy for an Argos. We have another nearer me that has the Argos next store...

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

In my local town and in Liverpool they closed the big W H Smiths a good few years back and moved them to smaller sites with a Post Office inside. Where I work now was a W H Smith until early 2015 I think, we have W H Smith Blue walls and carpets upstairs as it use to be a 2 floor store.

Halfords have changed their logo a bit, noticed it on the new advert Image

I think it looks better like this to be honest.

Re: High Street chain collapse sweepstake

Think of them as sort of shop you get in Peacocks type towns. But with an attempt at a trendier brand. Bit rude, I wouldn't say Store Twenty One is trendier then Peacocks, their stores are a dive and the clothes look like tat. I'm not shocked about My Local or Store Twenty One going into administra...

Re: Yet another Morrisons thread

Not sure on the logo, Morrisons always seem a bit behind the times with logos, the stores are looking better but logo and uniform wise it's a time warp.

Yeah I noticed today in Liverpool Tesco Metro it was a male voiceover on the self service tills. He also said something about "your club card points have been added to your current total"

Re: The finest sausage rolls in all the land

The ones from Hampsons are really good (think it's called Sayers in some particular parts of our region?). I'm always slightly disappointed by the ones from Greggs, however - they tend to be a bit on the dry side. I'm quite partial to a good sausage roll, although I don't eat them nearly as often a...
