Re: Murdoch's web policy

All his editors and assorted lackeys are going to have a tough time translating his incoherent ramblings into actual practice. It doesn't actually sound as though they've got any plan at all, at a time when everyone's paying close attention to what they'll be doing next. At first it seemed as though...

Re: Google Wave

I still think Gmail is shit. Never figured it out. I do love gmail still, think once you get the hang of it it's great. Battling with the replies and tiny mailbox size in the uni's groupwise installation reminds me of how poor other email systems can be. Apparently I now get to enjoy the best of bo...

Re: Google Wave

It's kind of like the first day you were on Facebook. You don't really have anyone to do anything with, even though you can kind of see what might happen if you did.

Some more antipodean delights for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IAnR3K0ho4. This one hasn't been on the TV for a while but I thought it deserved an honourable mention.

They did get it right with BATBYGOBSTOPL, though.

Re: The Official Manbag Thread

Parts of the Saturday papers I keep meaning to read, iPod, wallet, umbrella, eclipse mints, tissues, an old copy of NME and a whole lot of dead grass. I usually have various books and readings for uni as well as computer and assorted chargers but those aren't in there at the minute. I am a slave the...

Yep, thats what I do. Still took 20 minutes last time though, even at a rate of about 3 a second.

I'll take a photo next time I do it to show what I mean.

Not really, but tastes differ I guess. They make modern, reasonably good quality, affordable furniture for the masses.. and it's not the end of the world if it ends up being damaged somehow.

Re: Another High Street Rebrand

My friend was quoted in Time magazine for abusing that decision on twitter.

It certainly takes away a lot of their sense of Swedish simplicity and what I guess you'd call elegance.

Re: How long does your phone take to boot?

I do try to delete texts but when it says there are 2000 messages to delete one by one it can get a little tedious. I might try emptying out the photos and stuff. perhaps if I use it upside down might start quicker. EDIT: I just saw this "fixed" map which puts us and Indonesia at the centr...
