Re: IP Difficulties :-(

And another thing - watch out for the dodgy proxies. ntl's are especially so - it took lots of proxy hopping to get to the payments stage on Ebay the other day because they were so crap  Ah! Is this why I can't get to that stage myself? How do I 'proxy hop'? Well to proxy hop, you will need 2...

Re: IP Difficulties :-(

Hi All Little problem here - many sites think I'm accessing from 62.something (ip) which belongs to the whole of ntli. However my actual IP is 82.something which belongs to the virgin.net adsl server. However the majority of sites recognise the first, apart from checkip.dyndns.org which correctly r...

In town yesterday there was a woman, I'd say in her early 60's, with a tea towel on her head, trying to get people to take leaflets about whatever is going on in the middle east. All it seemed to be doing was creating a litter problem. Funny you should mention that. Where I live, there is a rather ...

I get pissed off by charity collectors with tins, who stand in supermarket entrances and refuse to believe that I only carry a credit card when I go supermarket shopping. Slightly off topic, but I hate people who use credit cards to pay for single items that you could pay for easily by cash - eg. a...

Perhaps a better method would be for XP to collapse the related windows into one icon, but when you mouse-over any place on the taskbar, they unfold vertically; like so:

I went past one about a few weeks ago. They're still there but I think they also are called Forboys as well.

I am lucky that I do not have any friends who are like that, I have only seen these thing on Trisha (did I tell you about the photo I saw of her with her boobs out at a party? Not a pretty sight, enough to make you swear!)

I've also wondered why they have done this as well. Some of the edits are cleverely done and manage to obscure the offending word sufficiently but others are totally shite, making the offending words sound even more obvious to the attentive listener by using bleeps or bizarre sound effects and makin...

Because I want to save it to a different format e.g. MPEG2 or ATRAC

I'm not sure I follow. Uncompressed wav files *are* hideously large. Why do you want them uncompressed? Sorry if I've not been clear enough but I am trying to save it as an ACM waveform. An ACM is not like your standard uncompressed wave as it is compressed using one of the codecs in that dropdown ...

Adobe Audition - file save problem

In Adobe Audition, whenever I save a file as an ACM waveform, instead of it being compressed with whatever codec I have chosen in the box (see screenshot below for example) I get a full CD quality uncompressed wave file which is absolutely massive in some cases. http://tvforum.ath.cx:8080/tvftemp/au...
