Re: Pres Cafe Watch News and Information Board
It might surprise some, but I'm not particularly bothered by no Gallery. My understanding is that to get a Gallery forum done properly, i.e. with previews etc. like on TVF, would require a lot of code customisation - which is a lot of faf if the mods aren't particularly bothered by it. It will mean ...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
One thing that I definitely have learnt from the brief existence of TVLF is that there is seemingly an inverse relationship between the amount of people watching a news channel and how comment worthy its presentation is.

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Fundamentally, as others have alluded to, if there isn't one clear successor which the majority of the TVF/TVLF community joins, I just can't see myself transferring to one of these many new forums. Multiple forums talking about the same topic, probably with the same conversations, is something that...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
BBCMeridian once again shoehorning merging CBeebies into CBBC onto the BBC News merger thread. Also wasn't long before the 'they should simply axe the services I don't use' crowd turned up, which is always fun. The notion that they should cut EastEnders episodes by 75% to save the BBC News channel ...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Nice for the news of BBC Four's possible axing to give us a return of the 'fantasy BBC management' thread that we all know and love. Honestly amazes me the number of members with seemingly no understanding whatsoever of how broadcasting or the BBC actually works and an inability to see beyond 'they ...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Dunno if this is just isolated, but whenever I load into any of PATV Scunthorpe's threads, the videos simply refuse to load or if they do, very VERY dreadfully slow. I'm not sure if this is the fault of Metropol or TV Live Forum, but whatever it is makes it even more impossible to appreciate their ...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
To paraphrase Harold Macmillan - 'As usual the predictions thread offers a mixture of sound and original ideas. Unfortunately, none of the sound ideas are original and none of original ideas are sound.'

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
The forum is descending into people deflecting any valid criticism of the rebrand with “The public won’t notice!”… They realise they’re on a forum about TV presentation, right? Like it annoys me when people are overly petty about something but when it’s valid criticism it’s just… odd. Of course mos...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
And while I understand the context in which you're both saying it, I would have to jump in defence of PowerPoint, I still use it for my mocks and previously use to animate everything in it as well, but I do think it is something that if you continuing learning how to use as you progress, making opt...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
Nowadays, I feel horrible for saying this - but the Gallery is now where free trials of Powerpoint come to die. I remember being young (too young to really be going on there) and naive and posting some god awful mocks on there - and while there was some unnecessarily harsh comments thrown my way fr...
