Re: Windows 9 is now Windows 10
Relatedly, the mystery of that Windows XP OOBE (title.wma) theme came from - which I must have Googled every year since 2001 - was solved a couple of years ago, with this upload . It wasn't written for Windows XP at all, and rather was just a track they had lying around since Windows 98. I feel old...

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
It's a good job none of those posters have been to a pantomime as an adult or they'd be screaming for them to be shut down too.

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
The arena thread is like a breath of fresh air, although that may have something to do with the number of blue names posting in that thread.

On date it was due to expire... Strange how many people keep forgetting to mention that little nugget.JAS84 wrote: ↑Tue 28 Sep, 2021 20.42 Southeastern stripped of rail franchise.

Re: TV Live Forum Watch News and Information Board
I don't know why I expect anything else, but the BBC logo thread seems to be dominated by just a few posters asking silly/obvious questions that either can't be answered or don't need to be asked in the first place. Don't forget the uninformed stating their ideas as if they're confirmed facts, ther...

Supertram concession only has a couple of years to run anyway, and there's a lot of discussion and consultation going on around what to do when it ends, particularly as it will be similarly timed with the planned replacement of some of the infrastructure and the rolling stock. Sounds like the prefer...

Re: Local Newspaper Feeds
Some of them are also implementing paywalls, so you can only read five articles a month or the like. On the rare occasion the click bait works and I get told I've run out of free articles, I just shrug and go "fair enough, I was only procrastinating anyway". Nothing about those sites or th...

Has it all kicked off in the newsroom again? Guest access revoked and all the Twitter accounts back in hiding again.

Crikey the 'Compact disk' signs in the bottom right photo are pinned onto some unpainted hardboard, surepy that's just not finished yet rather than some kind of retro look. The bare chipboard is part of a look, you can even buy very expensive stuff which has been treated to be properly smooth rathe...

Re: Grimmy leaves Radio 1
He really won't - sure he's got some fans, but he's probably the most "marmite" of the Radio 1 roster at present. I know a lot of people who turn off the second they hear his show start.

Re: The Tesco & other non-Morrisons supermarket thread
There are some pretty major issues with truck drivers at the moment - specifically a lack of them - causing lots of problems throughout the food chain. I've heard about containers waiting at Felixstowe for a couple of weeks. I'm told there's no end in sight to the problem and it will start affecting...
